                      He had been a resident of Jennings County since 1996.

Education: He graduated from Columbus High School in 1956.

Occupation: He was a retired mechanic for heavy equipment.
                      He had worked at Cummins Engine Company for 10 years.

Memberships: Elizabethtown Masonic Lodge # 395 F. & A.M.

Hobbies: He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling in his Blazer, Woodworking, and
                 spending time with his family.

Married to: Joyce L. Manlief
        Place: Gatlinburg, Tennessee
         Date: October 26, 1996

Wife - Joyce L. Carmichael - North Vernon, Indiana

2 Sons - Edward L. Carmichael, Jr. - Zephyrhills, Florida

                         Barbara Kincaid - Elizabethtown, Indiana

1 Step-Daughter - Leta Brooks - Scipio, Indiana
