Makenzie Ray Diekhoff

Makenzie Ray Diekhoff, 19, of Greensburg, passed away at 12:54 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

She was born December 2, 1991 in Columbus, Indiana. She is the daughter of Robert J. and Teresa M. (Gilham) Diekhoff. Makenzie has lived in Jennings County for 13 years and Decatur County for 6 years. She was a 2010 graduate of South Decatur High School. A member at St. Denis Catholic Church and Crossroads Community Church at Elizabethtown. She enjoyed reading, dancing, cheerleading, 4 wheeling and music.  She loved her pets, especially her dog “Prince”.  She loved to support her sisters in sports and enjoyed helping someone else out.

She is survived by her parents, Robert J. & Teresa M. Diekhoff; her sisters, Kassidie and Delanie Diekhoff; her brother, Cody Diekhoff; maternal grandparents, William & Kenna Ray Gilham of Scipio, paternal grandparents, Bernard & Jerry Diekhoff of Westport; 5 Aunts, 4 Uncles and 11 Cousins.

Funeral mass will at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Millhousen.  Burial will follow at St. Denis Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Grace Account at MainSource Bank or Makenzie’s Marines at Napoleon State Bank.  Envelopes for both will be available at the funeral home.
