Donna JoAnn (Ernstes) Edmondson, 71, of North Vernon passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at her residence.
She was born December 14, 1938 in Greensburg, Indiana to Herman Christopher and Clara Marie (Boyce) Ernstes. She was born and raised in Greensburg and has resided at her home in rural North Vernon since 1992. She married Eugene F. Edmondson in Greensburg on September 24, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2010.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at Greensburg. Her hobbies were playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (John) Bredewater of Kokomo, Pam Y. Goodin of Nashville, Tennessee and Jenny Gabbard of North Vernon; her sons Michael Eugene Edmondson and Brian T.(Kim) Edmondson of North Vernon; her brother Charles Edward (Donna) Ernstes of Milroy, Indiana. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, Leslie Hoff of Peru, Laraine (Robert) York of Bunker Hill, Jami (Henry) McReynolds of Springfield, Missouri, Todd Goodin of Columbus, Tiffany Hersley, Jeromy Gabbard and Craig Gabbard all of North Vernon, Heather Edmondson of Greensburg, Ashley Edmondson, Margaret Edmondson, Hailey Edmondson, Brian Edmondson all of North Vernon; 7 Great Grandchildren, Demario and Gavin Hoff of Peru, Antonie McReynolds of Springfield, Missouri; Alexis Goodin & Landon Goodin of Columbus, Owen and Jonathan McNicholas of Greensburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandsons; Cody Hersley Edmondson & Omer Joshua Goodin, II and 1 Great Granddaughter, Abrianna McReynolds.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis A. Wenholz. Burial will be at Westport Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral home from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church through the funeral home.
