Erma E. ElliottJuly 17, 1935- August 21, 2011 Age: 73 Knightstown, Indiana |
Erma E. Elliott, 73, of Knightstown, went home to be with her Lord Sunday,
August 21, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born July 17, 1938 in New
Castle the daughter of Ernest and Lila E. (Plank) McRoberts.
A life long resident of the Knightstown area, Erma graduated from Knightstown
High School in 1956. She retired from DMG World Media in 2009 after 24 years of
service. She was a member of the Knightstown Christian Church, PSI IOTA XI –
Gamma ETA Chapter at Knightstown. She enjoyed knitting, making flower
arrangements, working in her flower garden, bowling and spending time with her
family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 54 years: Ronald K. “Ronny”
Elliott of Knightstown; five daughters: Cindy (Marvin) Rees of Glenwood, Cynthia
(Mike) Gasper of Westport, Rhonda (Anthony) Tompkins of Shirley, Melissa Elliott
of Knightstown, Natalie Elliott of Knightstown; one son: Kevin (Pam) Elliott of
Odgen; two sisters: Peggy (Pete) Williams of Knightstown, Bonnie (Harold) Bailey
of Niles, MI; one brother: Ed (Ann) McRoberts of Muncie; 13 grandchildren: Brad
Elliott of Shirley, Jessica (David) Raynard of Indianapolis, Britney Tompkins of
Lewisville, Paul Gasper of Westport, Krista (Randy) Gilbert of Anderson, Katie
Tompkins of Greenfield, Corrine Rees of Glenwood, Jake Tompkins of Shirley, Loys
Rees of Glenwood, Abby Moles of Knightstown, Cordell Elliott of New Castle,
Solomon Rees of Glenwood, Gavin Elliott of Knightstown; two great grandchildren:
Sierra Gilbert of Anderson, Waylon Key of Greenfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Ernest
McRoberts, Jr.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral
Service Knightstown Chapel with Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will follow
in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday,
August 24. There will be a PSI IOTA XI memorial service at 8:00 PM. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Knightstown Christian
Church or Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
