Joyce Elliott, 87, of Dallas, Texas, died Monday, December 26, 2011 at the
Rowlett Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 25, 1924 in St.
Cloud, Minnesota, the daughter of Noah and Mary (Talbert) Hilt. She grew up in
Milroy, Indiana and then moved to Indianapolis after her marriage. She married
John J. Elliott in Indianapolis on April 25, 1944. He preceded her in death on
October 16, 1995.
Survivors included her daughter, Patricia Dye of Brady, Texas; her sons, John
(Sally) Elliott of Lebanon, Indiana and George (Sandy) Elliott of Dallas, Texas;
her brother, Harold (Janine) Hilt of Shelbyville, Indiana: her 5 grandchildren,;
her 4 great grandchildren and her 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, husband, sister, Imogene Russell and brothers, Gilbert
and Charles Hilt.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at
the Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock of Shelby County. Arrangements were handled
by the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
