He had been a Sardinia resident for 46 years and a Westport resident for the
past 2 years.
Education: He graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1947.
Military Service: He was a veteran having served with the US Army during the
Korean Conflict
and had received the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Combat Star.
Occupation: He was
the owner and operator of Decatur Garage in Westport since 1957.
He was a former school bus driver for Sandcreek
and South Decatur Schools for 12 years.
Memberships: He was a member and Past Commander of the Westport American Legion Post # 339
Former member of the Forty & Eight Shifters Car Club
He was a member of the Swinging Swayers Square Dance Club for 10 years.
