History:

Residential: He was born and raised in Jennings County. He had been a Decatur County resident for 50 years living east of Westport.
                       He had been a Hartsville resident for the past 20 years.

Education: He graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1938 and received an Associates Degree from Purdue University.

Military Service: He was a Veteran having served with the US Army during WW II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

Occupation: He was a lifelong farmer, a School Bus Driver for South Decatur for 25 years and reported agricultural stats for Doans Agricultural Products.

Memberships: Christian Church at North Vernon

Hobbies: He enjoyed gardening and carpentry work.  He had a great love for children, especially his grand and great grandchildren.
