Residential: Born in Kentucky, and moved to Indiana in 1944 to the New Bethel community. Has lived in Westport area since 1949.

Occupation: He owned & operated Gatewood Lumber Company for 19 years,  Farm Fresh Foods & Garden Gate Sales for 15 years
                       and was a lifelong carpenter.

Memberships: He was a 50 year member of the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 681.

                          A member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

                          A former member of the Westport Kiwanis Club.

                          A member of the Rodney Separate Baptist Church.

                          A former member of the Westport Community Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years.

Hobbies: He enjoyed gardening and flea markets.
