Carol A. Hall 86, of Greensburg, died at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. She was born April 24, 1925 in Franklin County, the daughter of Edward Adam and Clara Belle (Minister) Linkel.

She was born and raised in Franklin County and had lived in Elrod, Friendship, Napoleon and moved to Greensburg in 2004. She graduated from Whitewater Township School in 1943. She worked in administration and laboratory research for the H.C. Nutting Company at Cincinnati, Ohio. She had attended the New Trenton United Methodist Church and the Flat Rock Baptist Church in Ripley County. She enjoyed reading and doing cross word puzzles.

She Married George H. Hall in Brookville, Indiana on December 4, 1946, he preceded her in death on March 27, 1987.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ortman of Westport; her brother, Louis Linkel of St. Mary’s, Indiana; her grandchildren; Shaun (Kristy) Ortman of Greensburg and Kyle (Tarra) Ortman of Napoleon; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George Hall.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating. Burial will be at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Napoleon. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on the day of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
