Joanne L. Johnson, 60, of Rushville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born on April 28, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Charles R. and Geraldine A. (Bradley) Wilson. She attended Greensburg High School. Joanne was a homemaker, having worked at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital and Gecom. She had provided day care in her home for several years. She enjoyed collecting treasures and decorating.

She married Robert Johnson on March 21, 1969 in Greensburg. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Geraldine Wilson of Greensburg; her twin daughters, Tamala Johnson of Rushville, Michelle Menefee of Indianapolis, her daughters, Donna Johnson of Augusta, Maine, Deanna Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; twin sons, Scott (Jenny) Johnson of Norwalk, Iowa, Chris (Cheryl) Johnson of Greensburg, her sons, Ryan (Carrie) Johnson of Indianola, Iowa, Douglas Johnson of Greensburg; her sisters, Rosemary Walterman, Sandy Loudin, Angie Wilson all of Greensburg, Susan (Steve) Henry of Columbus; her brothers, Charles R. (Linda) Wilson, Jr., Don (MaryBeth) Wilson, Willie (Lisa) Wilson, John (Lori) Wilson all of Greensburg, Mike (Jeni) Wilson of Columbus, Paul (Jill) Wilson of Greensburg; her brother-in-laws, William Springman of Rushville, Danny (Kathy) Johnson of Ocala, Florida; her grandchildren, Briana, Danyelle and Alan Hyden, Heather and Matt Lynch, Blake, Mason, Tyler, Sydney, Sierra, Olivia, Dalton, Elijah Johnson, Madi Parrott; her great grandchildren, Valerie Lynch, Kailey and Alexander Barnes along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday December 22, 2011 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. William Springman officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the family.
