Melissa A. Jones, 45, of Westport, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 4:10 p.m. at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on October 7. 1965 in Nashville, Tennessee and was the daughter of J.D. and Anna Mae(Tindell)Jones. She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee moving to the Westport area in 1987. She graduated from East High School in Nashville in 1984.
She was a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church and she enjoyed garage sales, collecting angels and making friends.
Surviving are her companion, Danny Toler of Westport; her mother, Anna Mae Jones of Westport: her daughter, Melissa Danielle Jones of Westport: her son, Joshua G. Irven Jones of Westport; her sister, Sherry Lee Jones of Westport and her brother, David Jones of Dowellton, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father.
In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home. Rev. Harvey Weaver will officiate. A time of visitation will be from noon until time of service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Westport Wesleyan Church.
