HISTORY:

Residential: She was born and raised in Westport. She has lived in Greensburg and Columbus before moving back to Westport in 1977.  

Education: She graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1945.

Occupation: She retired from James Rivers Corporation.  She had been a cook at Jerman Jr. High School and Greensburg Community High School. 

Memberships: She was a member of the Westport Baptist Church
                          Former member of the Westport Order of Eastern Star.

Hobbies: She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. From spring to fall she loved to pull weeds.

Married to: Robert C. “Lefty” Phelps
       Place: Kentucky
        Date: March 24, 1946
           He preceded her in death on November 11, 1976

SURVIVORS:

1 Daughter - Roxanna Phelps - Westport, Indiana

1 Son - David (Dawn) Phelps - Greensburg, Indiana      

9 Grandchildren

10 Great Grandchildren
