Nicholas Ray Schwering

Nicholas Ray Schwering, 22, of Washington, Indiana

Died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 6:16 p.m. as the result of a single vehicle auto accident on County Road 800 North in Jennings County.                                     

He was born on April 28, 1988 in Columbus, Indiana the son of Patti S. Fellows and Paul A. Schwering. He was raised in Westport, attended South Decatur High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Millhousen. He loved fishing, music, the outdoors, and hanging out with his family and friends. 

He was employed at Perdue Farms at Washington, Indiana. 

He is survived by his mother, Patti S. Fellows of Washington; his father, Paul A. Schwering of Westport; sisters, Danielle Schwering of Westport and Jessica Schwering of Washington; brother, Zachary Schwering of Westport; Grandparents, Rose Ann Schwering of Westport, Joann Fellows (Jerry Harper) of Plainfield and Dennis (Linda) Fellows of Bicknell; nieces & nephew, Makaylah, Cylah and Caedyn Schwering all of Goose Creek, South Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Berthold C. “Nick” Schwering; aunt, Mary Teresa Schwering and cousin, Christopher Schwering. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Officiating will be Sister Christine Ernstes. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 8:00 p.m. 

Entombment will take place at the Tower Mausoleum in Vincennes, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lou Gehrig’s Foundation through the funeral home.
