Sophia Marie “Sophie” Shafer, 2 months, of Madison, Indiana. Died unexpectedly at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at The King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison. Sophie was born in Madison on August 17, 2011. 

Sophie is survived by her parents Tori Harvey and Cody M. Shafer, of Madison: her maternal grandfather, Sean Patrick (Dina) Harvey of Madison: her maternal grandmother, Carol (Jim) Joslin of Hardinsburg; her paternal grandmother, Melissa (Michael) Kendall of Canaan; her maternal great grandmother, Maria Bush of Madison; her maternal great grandmother, Alice Ryker of Hanover; her paternal great grandparents, Dale & Janet Waters of Greensburg and by several aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Gary Bush and Kenneth Box. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Evangelist Bill Kendall officiating. A time of visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Westport Cemetery.
