HISTORY:
Residential: He has been a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He has resided in Burney and Westport.
Education: He graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1941. After graduation he attended a business school.
Military: He was a Veteran of the 255th Field Artillery
Battalion having served with the US Army during WW II in northern France,
Ardennes,
Rhineland and central Europe. He was honored for his service during the
invasion of Normandie.
Occupation: He was a lifelong farmer and had driven a school bus for
Decatur County Community School for 34 years.
He was a former employee of Cummins Engine
Company.

Westport Masonic Lodge # 52 F. & A.M.
Order of Eastern Star Otto Chapter # 570 of Westport
Former member of the Westport Kiwanis Club
Hobbies: He enjoyed hunting in his younger years, watching TV and most of
all spending time with his family. He enjoyed joking around with family
and friends and making people laugh. For many years he attended his army reunion
until failing
health prevented
him from attending.
