HISTORY:

Residential: He was born and raised in Preble County, Ohio.  He moved to Henry County in 1923.
                       A Columbus resident from 1929 to 1950 until he moved to Decatur County.
                      He has been a Westport resident since 1975.

Occupation: He retired from Cummins Engine Company at Columbus in 1963 after 33 years of service.
                      He had also been employed by the Chrysler Corp. at New Castle.

Memberships: Mt. Aerie Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher

                          Former member and past President of the Westport Kiwanis Club 

                          Past Lt. Governor of the Farmland Division of Kiwanis International.

                          He had served as Sandcreek Township Trustee.

                          50 year member of the Westport Masonic Lodge # 52 F. & A.M.

                          Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite – Valley of Indianapolis

                         Murat Shrine AAONMS of Indianapolis.


                

Married to: Mary Genevieve Ballenger
       Place:  New Castle, Indiana
         Date:  September 10, 1927
    She preceded him in death on September 1, 1995

2 Daughters - Catherine Louise (Ivan) Vanderbur Engleking - Greenfield, Indiana  

                         Cheryl Lee (Ron) Blackledge - Owasso, Oklahoma
