Martha I. Stunkel Stopp, age 67, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away at 2:46 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville, Florida. She was born on June 6, 1944 in Greensburg, Indiana, the daughter of Rev. Robert and Geneva (Holzhause) Stunkel. She had been a Spring Hill resident for the past 14 years, having moved there from Columbia City, Indiana. She was an Interior Decorator and member of the Brooksville Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Stopp of Spring Hill, Florida; her sons, Richard Milburn of Columbus, Ohio, Kenneth (Lisa) Mitchell of Columbia City, Indiana, Wesley (Angela) Mitchell of Spring Hill, Florida; her step sons, Tim (Sheila) Stopp of Vernon, Connecticut, Tony (Briana) Stopp of Ackworth, Georgia, Todd (Julie) Stopp of Fishers, Indiana; her step daughter, Christina Perez of Tampa, Florida; her brother, Gene (Sally) Stunkel of Carlsbad, California; her 5 grandchildren, her 9 step grandchildren and her 1 step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Rev. Lois Schalk-Hartley officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Brooksville Wesleyan Church Building Fund or HPH Hospice.
