Clifford Ray Thompson, 55, of Greensburg, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
February 2, 2012 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was
born on November 26, 1956 in Batesville, the son of Robert Guy and Helen Lee
(Middleton) Thompson. He was raised in Gilford and Letts, Indiana and attended
South Decatur High School. He was a carpenter and had worked for the Penn
Central Railroad for 10 years. He had served with the Indiana National Guard. He
enjoyed motorcycles.
He is survived by his parents, Robert & Helen Thompson of Greensburg; his daughter, Chasity Thompson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sisters, Judy A. (Ray) Owens of Mooresville, and Janice K. (Ronald) Huey of Greensburg; his brothers, Robert G. (Reatha) Thompson of Allen, Texas, Norman L. (Christy) Thompson of Greensburg and Brian K. (Jennifer) Thompson of Huntertown, Indiana; his grandson, Christopher James Johnson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his 11 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Maureen Walby officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Aerie Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
