HISTORY:
Residential: He was born and raised in Jennings County. Former 40 year
resident
of Morristown, Indiana. He has resided in Washington for the past 10 years.
Education: Graduated from the Zenas High School in 1939.
Military Service: He was a veteran of WWII having served with the US Navy.
He was one of the survivors from the USS Brownson (DD-518) that was
sunk by Japanese aircraft off Cape Gloucester, New Britan Island on December 27,
1943.
Occupation: He retired from General Electric in 1983 after 12 years of
service.
He was also a self employed watchmaker.
Memberships: Central Christian Church at Washington.
Former member of the Morristown Christian Church.
Morristown American Legion Post.
Morristown Lions Club.
Hobbies: He enjoyed golfing, restoring old clocks and furniture.
