Marsha M. Redkey, 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:43 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana inpatient facility in Columbus. She was born on December 21, 1954 in Ware Shoals, South Carolina, the daughter of William Kenneth and Gladys Lou (Ridgeway) Maddox. She was raised in South Carolina and had been a North Vernon resident since 2001. Marsha had graduated from Cornerstone Christian Academy of Georgia in 2001. She had been employed by Watts Mill in Lawrence, South Carolina for 25 years. She was a member of the Butlerville Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and raising chickens. She married Tommy Ellis Redkey in North Vernon on June 18, 1979 and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2008. Survivors include her parents, William Kenneth & Gladys Lou Maddox of Duncan, South Carolina; her sons, Kenneth Clive Redkey, Christopher Scott Redkey and James Lee Redkey all of North Vernon; her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ellis and her son, Mark Anthony Redkey. The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
